Historic Cherry Hill is Recruiting Volunteer Guides! Training Begins January 25, 2023. published December 21, 2022

Are you a storyteller? Do you love learning about and discussing local history?

Join our team of volunteer historic house guides!

2023 Season: January 25 through November 25

Training Sessions & Practice: Wednesdays 5-7pm, every other week, January 25-May 2, 2023

Practice & Observations: Flexible scheduling, May & June

Guiding: June through November 2023

Time Commitment: ~6-10 hours per month, January thru November 2023

Covid-19 protocol: We will follow the most current guidelines from NYS Dept. of Health and the CDC.

Trainings are scheduled to be in-person but may switch to remote via Zoom as necessary.

Benefits: HCH volunteers receive free Individual Member benefits, free tours for family & friends, HCH library access, social & enrichment meetings, & free outings to local sites. Students gain valuable training and hands-on experience in the museum field, and internship credit as approved by their schools (HCH has worked with students to accommodate internship needs).

Who Should Apply? HCH Volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds. Retirees, seniors, college and high school students, young professionals, full and part-time workers…all are welcome!

NOTE: Guides walk up and down two flights of stairs during the tour, & may be on their feet for prolonged periods of time.
