Historic Cherry Hill is Recruiting Volunteer Guides! Training Begins Late January. published December 22, 2021

Are you a storyteller? Do you love learning about and discussing local history?

Join our team of volunteer historic house Guides!

Training will be multi-generational; Guides-in-Training will include local teenagers enrolled in HCH’s History Is Now after school program.

Schedule: late-January through November

Training Sessions: Tuesdays 4-6pm, 2x/month, late-Jan. to mid-May

Practice & Observations: Flexible scheduling, mid-May through June

Guiding: July through November 2022

Time Commitment: ~6-10 hours per month January thru November 2022

Covid-19 protocol: Proof of vaccination, masking & other protocols will be followed based on current guidelines from NYS Dept. of Health and the CDC.

Trainings are scheduled to be in-person but may switch to remote via Zoom as necessary.

Benefits: HCH volunteers receive free Individual Member benefits, free tours for family & friends, HCH library access, social & enrichment meetings, & free outings to local sites.

Who Should Apply? HCH Volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds. Retirees, college students, young professionals, part-time workers…all are welcome!
