HNY CARES…for HCH published June 30, 2020

Historic Cherry Hill is pleased to announce receipt of a $2500 grant from Humanities New York to support general operating expenses during the COVID-19 epidemic. Project-based grants allow us to do good work and launch exciting new initiatives; but grants like this cover the essential costs of utilities and personnel to preserve our historic structure and collections and make them accessible to the public.

As a “Phase Four” organization, the museum remains closed until July. For a site with a seasonal schedule, this means we’ve now been closed for a third of our year and canceled or rescheduled two fundraising events. Thank you to HNY for this grant and to the federal legislators and museum advocates who helped garner support for the cultural sector under the Cares Act so that we can persevere through these unprecedented times.
